Jason Snyder, CRS
Recovery Coach
Jason Snyder is a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) in long-term recovery from the disease of addiction. He struggled with drugs and alcohol for many years while trying to maintain an executive-level position and hold together a marriage and a home. At the time, he had no idea what to do and was afraid and unwilling to ask for help. Since then, through therapy and with much help from peers, he has learned to use tools and strategies to more effectively manage his life. Today, in addition to his work as a recovery coach, he is also a policy director and lobbyist working to improve the way substance use disorder treatment is provided.
In that position, he is responsible for developing and executing strategies to influence policy, regulations, and legislation in ways that enhance the SUD treatment environment. He previously worked as a director of strategic partnerships and regional director of operations for a large addiction treatment provider working in Pennsylvania and nationally. Snyder has significant experience working in state government as well. He served as special assistant to the secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and was communications director for the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP).
