Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) aids prescribers in identifying and changing negative thought patterns that contribute to substance use. This evidence-based approach focuses on developing healthier coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and building resilience. By addressing the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, CBT empowers participants to make lasting changes while maintaining their professional and personal responsibilities.
Psychodynamic therapy helps prescribers explore the underlying emotional and psychological factors contributing to substance use. Through guided self-reflection and insight-oriented discussions, participants uncover patterns, resolve inner conflicts, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. This approach fosters deeper self-awareness and lasting behavioral change, supporting long-term recovery while maintaining professional responsibilities.
Our Intensive Outpatient Ambulatory Program (IOAP) incorporates 12-step principles to provide peer support, accountability, and structure in recovery. Participation in AA, NA, or similar fellowships fosters community and personal growth. While optional, these programs can enhance treatment by offering mentorship and a proven framework for long-term sobriety.

Our goal is to provide a balanced, individualized approach that prioritizes both recovery and overall well-being.
We utilize a comprehensive blend of intensive individual and group therapy designed to support prescribers on their path to recovery. Individual therapy provides a private, one-on-one setting where participants work with licensed professionals to address personal challenges, develop coping strategies, and create a tailored recovery plan. Group therapy fosters a sense of community and shared experience, allowing participants to engage in peer support, gain new perspectives, and build resilience through guided discussions. Together, these therapeutic approaches provide the structure, accountability, and flexibility needed to maintain professional responsibilities while achieving long-term recovery.
We conduct Independent Medical Exams (IME) to provide a thorough evaluation of the healthcare professional’s ability to practice in their specific field safely. The IME includes a detailed assessment that answers critical questions from the referring PHP, ensuring the professional is fit to resume their duties with reasonable skill and safety. Unlike typical medical consultations, our IMEs offer a broader scope of evaluation, considering the individual’s work history, medical and psychiatric conditions, and specific recovery goals.
